With this summer looking much different than years past in terms of dining out and spending time with friends and family, it might seem challenging to figure out how to be social while practicing proper social distancing. In our previous post, we talked about options that involved coming to our Japanese restaurant in Minneapolis and what that entailed, but at moto-i, we know that you may want some other ideas for summer dining this year.
Small Group Dining
If you’re set on going to a restaurant, then it’s important to keep your group small. For example, we’re only allowing groups of no more than four people to dine on our rooftop patio. It can also be smart to keep your group contained to those whom you live with or interact with on a regular basis. While you might really want to see your friends, you or they may not be sure what type of health guidelines and social distancing protocols everyone has been practicing.
Before you make a reservation with our restaurant or any other that’s open for business in Minneapolis, be sure to check their operating hours and any special rules they have in place for their establishment. You’ll have to wear a mask, per city regulations, and you’ll have to follow any other guidelines the business has set to keep you and their staff safe and healthy.
A Picnic in the Park
Summer is a time for being outside and with access to public parks, an afternoon picnic can be the perfect way to get together with people while still maintaining social distance. You can order Japanese food online from our menu and have it delivered to your house, and then meet your friends at a nearby park.
Be sure to check on any city rules and regulations regarding gatherings in public parks, such as how many people can be together in one place or if the picnic shelters are open for use. You’ll also want to have everyone bring their own beverages and utensils to eliminate the risk of shared plates and silverware.
Takeout on the Back Deck
If you don’t feel like leaving the house, but you want to have the neighbors over for a meal, why not order takeout and enjoy it on your back deck or patio? At moto-i, we’re offering takeout from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. every day of the week, so you can order lunch or dinner whenever you want! Each person can order takeout from their favorite restaurant, or you can do a group order and come pick it up at a time that works for you.
Staying Safe and Healthy
Our goal is to do our part to keep everyone safe and healthy this summer, whether they come in to dine on our rooftop or order takeout or delivery. We know that things are going to seem strange for some time, but whenever you want amazing Japanese food, you can count on us to provide nothing but the best.
