The end of the summer can be an exciting time, as you’re getting ready for a new school year or starting a new job. It can also be a bittersweet time, as you say goodbye to friends who are going back to school in another state, or who will be so busy that you won’t have time to get together during the fall or winter. You may see them during the holidays, but for the next two to three months, the only contact you’ll have with them is the occasional text message or social media tag.
At Moto-i, we want to help you celebrate the end of summer with one last get-together of friends, family, and anyone else you want to invite. At our Japanese restaurant in Minneapolis, you can enjoy delicious food, amazing sake, and the wonderful company of those you care about.
An Impromptu Gathering
Summer can often mean the reunion of friends and family members who haven’t seen each other in a year or more. You might be back to visit your parents for a few weeks, so you call up your high school or college friends who are still in the area. You ask if they want to get together for dinner and drinks, and before you know it, an impromptu gathering of old classmates is taking place. Spontaneous occurrences like this can be a great way to catch up, and if you need a space for a medium- to large-sized group, our bar and restaurant has plenty of room.
A Going Away Party
If the end of the summer means that you’re heading back to school in a different state, or you’re moving for a new job, then our restaurant can be a great place for a going away party. You may also be in charge of planning a friend or family member’s going away party, and we’ll gladly talk to you about renting one of our private event spaces. We can help you choose the catering menu for the event, and we’ll make sure there’s something for everyone who attends. While you’re here, why not take a tour of our on-site sake brewery?
As summer winds down and you start thinking about everything you need to do this fall, don’t forget to celebrate all the good times you had this season. It might be the last time you see some of your friends for the next few months, or the last time you see a family member for several years. Come by our Japanese restaurant today and see what we have to offer.
We’re located in the Lyn-Lake neighborhood of Minneapolis, and we’re a short drive or Uber ride from downtown. We’re open until 2:00 a.m. every day of the week, and our happy hours run from 2:20 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. every day, and 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. If you’re looking for a place for your impromptu gathering, or you need to plan a going away party, we’d love to have you!
